"Shadow: Run, but you can't hide" is the second book in the "Storm" series by Gurpreet Kaur Sidhu. It continues the story of Evan and Shadow, who are now married and welcoming a new life into theirs – their son, Bright.

However, their past lives refuse to stay buried. Evan is haunted by nightmares and visions from his 19th-century self, and his grandmother, Venice, also experiences fearful visions warning him that Bright could be taken away.

The family seeks refuge in a safehouse provided by Evan's father, Bruce, who is plotting to bring down the Secret Eye Agency (SEA). The SEA, which has lost sight of its original purpose, continues to pose a significant threat.

The plot thickens with the relentless pursuit of Shadow's ex, Marvin, an SEA agent who won't stop until he gets what he wants. Evan's nephew becomes a victim, and the Storm family faces increasing pressure to surrender Bright.

Enraged and seeking vengeance, Evan delves into Bruce's past for clues to Marvin's whereabouts, only to uncover more secrets about his parents and grandparents that further entangle his new family.

The book promises twists, turns, and the unsettling presence of those who don't seem to stay dead, making it a multilayered thriller about family, secrets, and the impossibility of truly escaping the past.
